Most of the hatred and violence in the past was also done in the name of organized religions. Seems we don't learn from our mistakes too well.

I think that's their cover sometimes. I know that no religion at all, ever says that violence and hatred is ok. I don't claim to know much about any religion, but that much I do know. These terrorists use their religion as an 'excuse', and those of us who know better, aren't fooled.

As far as I can tell, religion has been the reason for wars, violence, and hatred more than once. The Revolutionary War was about breaking free from the British so we could have religious freedom (as well as other freedoms). War "in the name of religion" has been around since the beginning of time.

I am deeply saddened by today's events in the UK. These terrorists are the scariest of all, b/c they don't want anything from us, they aren't even looking to rule the world. They just want to kill and destroy for the heck of it. There seems to be no purpose other than that. Usually, there's at least a "reason" people attack. But not these terrorists, to them it's just a sport. It's horrific to think about what would've happened had they not been stopped today.

Incorrect. The devastating wars in Korea, Vietnam also the World War I and II were not fought by or for any organised religion. At present no war is going on. Wars are not battles.Today we have a battle here and a battle there. In a War, you follow Geneva Convention. In batttles you donot.
