Sims 1 downloads can be complicated. You do not dump them all into the same folder. This game was a development phase and they didn't not anticipate all the cool custom things that would be developed for the game.

This means that some parts of some downloads need to go to different folders. I cannot tell you which ones go where because every download can be different. Usually there are READ_ME files which will give tips and these are included with the zip or winrar files.

One way to learn about it is to go to the FREE downloads at The Sims Resource, such as here:

Look at the various items and styles, and when you want to download, you can see a step by step. For example, look at the first one. It even gives pictures of the folders to use.

Good luck with all that.

As to Sims2, you can make it very boring or very interesting depending on your imagination. Challenges are a lot of fun with the Sims 2 and many sites list challenges. Here are a couple-

i have never tried to download sims objects on the pc, but it sounds to me that what you are looking for is a game patch. what you want to do is go to the company that makes the game site, find the page that says patches/downloads, search the sims and download all the patches that they show on the screen. i hope that answers your question good luck
