A wolf.

Just kidding.

What really gets my goat today is that everyone has their level displayed beneath their avatar on this site now. Can Yahoo Answers get any more pushy with their point system? Do I really need to know what level a person is before I read their question or answer? I wish they would include information about the person's bank account too so I could evaluate the value of their oppinions by their stock portfolio as well as their Yahoo Answers points. GEEZ! I don't think they get it. The REAL value of this site is it's anonymity and the level playing field for all oppinions. The Yahoo Answers people seem to be trying very hard to make this site so much less. First they start cramming celebrity oppinions down our throats and don't let us rate the celebrities best answers. Now they are branding all of us with our level even before someone can read our thoughts. OK, so that is what has my goat this morning. Sorry, but you asked.

I don't give away my goat that easily - you never know when he'll come in handy.

Things that get my goat are...well, frankly, legion. The Welsh language is high up there, politicians who know we're conditioned to believe what they say even when it's goat-dung, apathy generally (big over here in the UK), Saran Wrap (appears to be designed to work ONLY when handled by women), no longer being able to take water or books on transatlantic flights, inanimate objects that fundamentally don't do what they're designed to do, people who think skiing holiday photos need to be shared, the lowering of the standards of reasoning and the building of a lowest-common-denominator society, Taylor Hicks, which amounts to the same thing, the unmitigated failure of socialism, the existence of the two-slot toaster...
Erm...I'll stop there for now, before it just gets TOO scary...

What really 'gets my goat' is people who don't treat other people with respect. No person is one-dimensional, and there will always be things we don't know about the people we know the best - yet some folks talk to others as though they are stupid, or beneath them. I believe that every person deserves to have their own self respect, and that no one else has the right to take that away from them. So condescending people, and people who carry a superior air, really GET MY GOAT!

Goats actually get my goat.

Every time I take my daughter to a petting zoo, the goats are extremely mean to her.

At six months they were taking her blankets out of her stroller trying to chew. Come to think of it, one actually ate her sock. At four years one stole the bottle she was trying to feed them with and then she got cornered by ten of them and scared. I had to knock a few horns to get to her. That same year at a different park one stood on it's hind legs and knocked her down. She won't go to petting farms any more.

Hence, my experience with goats gets my goat. Honestly, what did she ever do to them?

(I say this all, but I have deep respect for Goatboy.)

Some things that really get my goat are driving in a 55 MPH zone behind someone going 25 MPH, prejudice people, misspelled public signs, people who want to tell you how to run your life, abusive parents, people who leave their signal light on for miles and never make a turn, nosey neighbors, bigger kids who are mean to smaller kids, thieves, liars, and cheaters.

Funny you ask... goats really panic when a cow falls over.

Keep an eye out for 'em if you ever go cow tipping.

I am traveling tomorrow, and it appears I cannot take anything on the plane because some idiots keep trying to blow them up or use them to blow stuff up.

I cannot wait until the day when we have to get on the planes in our underwear and slippers because just about anything can be used as a weapon these days.
