Get some panty liners and put one on the back of your underwear under the long pad where you leak to extend it when you are sleeping. If it runs off of the end of the pad, it will run onto the pantyliner and you will still be safe. Don't worry, this is not an uncommon problem. It just has to do with the fact that liquids tend to run downhill and at night it can be hard to get everything properly situated when you are sleeping. Hang in there! You will get the hang of it soon enough.

Use tampons that will solve the problem and it is a lot more conferable when sleeping or doing day to day active. I know at first it might be wired to do but trust me you will wish you had a long time ago. I waited for a long time before i would wear a tampon and when i Finlay did i felt so much better. You no longer have that yucky feeling between your legs of a wet pad.

OK. let's say you fall asleep on your side, what happens is kind of gross, but the blood kind of pools inside you and so when you turn on your back the excess blood leaks out. Same as when your sitting for a long time, and get up, there's that sudden rush of blood. So it is a good idea to sleep on your side, or stomach. I've never tried putting two long pads together, though I have heard of it before and it's worth trying. As long as it's just leaking and your not hemorrhaging.

I used to have heavy periods and had the same problem. What I did was, I put 2 pads together to make 1 really long one. "Always" pads are thin enuf to where it does not feeel too thick. It worked for me, hope it works for you. good luck

You can certainly try a different sleeping position. Sometimes your back isn't the greatest place to sleep when you're on your period. Also, tampons are okay as well, especially if you're a light bleeder.

Towel under you, or layer on several pairs of underwear.
