Not exactly, Hezbbollah is the military wing of the political party that holds 11seats in theLebonese government. When Israel withdrew from Lebanon the hezbbollah militia was left to patrol the border. Hezbbollah political party has built schools, hospitals providing affordable healthcare and active in other social services. Syria and Iran have provided weapons and financial assistance. They are the shiik wing in Lebonan. When President Bush requested disarming the hezbbollah military{Terrorist is Pres. Bushes' label] the statement may cause USA citizens and Folks around the world to ask; Is Bush, trying to start a civil war??? You can be fairly sure Hezbollah won,t give up its' arms without a fight,

Hezbollah is supported by both Syria and Iran.

I don't know if "installed" is the correct word, because the histories I've seen indicate that Hezbollah came together on its own within Lebanon in the 1950s, but then later started getting funding and supplies from those other counties.

At present, Lebanon is either effectively controlled by Hezbollah, or based on recent activity by the Lebanese government supporting the terrorist actions, a willing accomplice.
