Hey I took an HPT and there was a really faint line right before the the time limit was up so I took another and in about 5 minutes I got a line. It was pink looking so I thought maybe I should get a better test {cuz I keep buyin all my tests from the dollar tree, lol I know I am dumb} but now I look at the test and it's gray looking with tint of pink and it looks as if there is a dent in right beside it. Anyone got any clues? Is this an evaporation line?? I am confused. Anyone get a positive test that they thought was an evap line but turned out they were actually prego??? Thanks!

When in doubt just go to the doctor. It does not matter where you get your HPT from.

Go to the store and get yourself a name brand test, either ClearBlue Easy Digital (says pregnant or not pregnant) or even Equate (from Walmart, they give a plus sign) Lots of people have a hard time with the dollar tree tests. Digitals run about $9-10 for 2 tests and the Equate is like $6-7 for 2 tests.

I took 3 tests. Two from the dollar store and then bought one from Walmart. I thought that the line was to faint to be a positive but guess what...the dollar store ones work just as good as any...I am 11 wks pregnant with my second child.

Well if it was before the 10 minute time frame and you got a positive,then you are more than likely pregnant! I have heard that the dollar tree tests are just as accurate as all. If you are in shock and wanna keep testing until you are convinced,then thats ok too! I have been told thats why women test repeatedly because it is shocking to get that positive !!! Congratulations on your new baby!

Any line in the positive side means pregnant.
If you are buying them at the dollar tree that doesn't mean anything. to be sure, get another one, or see the doc.
I had a line show up after the time, and turns out I was pregnant, but I had to get another test to confirm.

Go to walmart and get their generic tests, they are only $2-3 I have used them and have had no problems. I wouldn't trust the dollar store special but it could also just be you are very early in your pregnancy and your hormone level isn't very high causing the faint line. But take another test to be for sure.

If you are very early in your pregnancy, you may have such low levels of Hcg that they are not registering clearly. A faint positive is almost always a positive, however. The First response pregnancy test is the most sensitive out there. Buy one of those and test. Your results should be more clear. And congratulations! It sounds like you are pregnant!

You are pregnant girl, I took 4 dollar store HPT and they all came up with a faint line, (because I tested a little earlier.) And I am indeed pregnant, so congrats!!!! and consult you Doc. immediately.

I agree, get a test that is digital that says pregnant or not pregnant, that's what I did. Then there is no guessing about faint pink lines.

the same thing is happening to me righ now i took a EPT and there was a very very faint line really but u can hardly see it .. so i am taking a test next week
