Hypnotism is based on a persons willingness to follow directions. If someone wants to be hypnotised they can be very easily and will be eager to follow the hypnotisers directions. If you get a stubborn person, they're less likely to feel the effects of hypnosis. So skeptics usually think that it doesn't work (maybe because they don't like obeying someone else) and believers are usually the easiest to hypnotise.

It is due to the power of suggestion and imagination that a weak mind is influenced by a stronger mind.
An ideal example is how you get carried away when you watch a movie or play a video game. This is hypnotism nothing more.
Just like good movies, politicians or preachers can make a positive impact on society. The bad ones disturb the social order. All these is due to hypnotism.
Presently many people are hypnotized by the concept of doubling money, which is causing lot of problems for this world.
So what is required is to dehypnotize ourselves and go back to olden days. when people had faith in love, god, peace, honesty and Hard work.

I have about 9 years or so experience as a hypnotist. I have many many books on the subject, dvd's, audio cd's, and professional training as well. This is an old hobby of mine.
It is real, and it does work. Although, there are a lot of people who don't really know what it is or how it works, but that won't stop them from answering your question with all their misconceptions.
I have hypnotized people who have said they can not be hypnotized, as well as people who said they didn't believe in it.
I have induced involuntary responses of all kinds, from goose bumps to amnesia. I have induced states of desire and attraction in women, taken away fears and phobias for some of my friends, and even increased my close ratio to almost 85% with just the skillful use of my words. (I work as a sales consultant.)
For better sources of information it would be ideal for you to do a Google search, and find some hypnosis websites. Do your own research and don't believe everything you read or hear. There are alot of idiots out there that think they "KNOW" what hypnosis IS, but the truth is that their comments are utter speculation and junk logic. There are hundreds of books on the subject, but again, only a few are valuable sources of information. I can recommend a list of books, dvd's, audio cd's, and professional trainers that can teach you the right way to do hypnosis. Just email me for the details.

yes yes and yes again, i was a complete non believer until i met up with an old school friend who claimed to be a hypnotist and invited me to help him do a show, i was amzed at what i seen and i know for sure its real, some people are easily hypnotised and some are more difficult, the friend i am referring to is called James Hastie and lives in Glasgow Scotland.
I seen him turn a 100 pound female into believing she was a H beam type peace of steel, he placed her ankles on a chair and her neck at full stretch on another chair before placing a 150 pound male on her mid drift and she never flinched,,no tricks no illusions and in fromt of an audience of 200 on an open stage
quite puzzling my friend but i can assure you its true and i still think how weird that was,I guess its like the stories where someone lifts a 2 ton car off a child that has been knocked down,, this is thought to be impossible but has happeened on several well documented occasions, i think our mind is far more powerfull than we know and it take some weird incident or suggestions to kick start the full power of our mind and bodies
hope this helps as its 100% true

i read that it does but the subject has to be willing to do whatever the hypnotist says if you hypnotised someone you could not for example cause them to harm themselves as for stage hypnotists i don't really know how they do things but perhaps they create a situation in the persons mind, something like creating a dream in someones head where the person feels it is natural to do what the hypnotist tells them that's a guess though

It appears to work on some people. It definitely doesn't work on other people, including me. Also, I think probably the overwhelming majority of people who claim that they can hypnotize you are total charlatans who don't know anything.

I don't think it's really....I think it's sort of a form or brain washing. Ppl get up on the stage and think they should act like that because they are in front of an audience and don't want to seem dumb.

It is real. But don't believe every movie. Not all myths about it are true.
