There are recycling bins around Singapore for disposing of papers, glass and plastic, so why isn't there collection points for disposing used batteries?

Well I do not know about Singapore. Here in Berkeley California we have a store called Ikea. Ikea has a recycle program for used battery's. It is against the law here in California, to throw battery's in the trash. We also have a collection site operated by the local trash company.

Our Public Libraries are a good place to dispose of used batteries. They have containers inside the door for the batteries.
