hmmmmm i lyked them both alot lyk them and metalica created and perfected metal with these crazy *** awesom songs lyk enter sandman or sweet child of mine or the wicker man and guns n roses put out one of the best cds ever apetite for destruction but id still hav to go with iron maiden cuz they r the godfather of metal

I friggen agree with you! I love maiden! You really have to be a fan to love this phenomenon. For one part, they are the godfathers of metal and proggresive metal. Second, I just got dun listning to their two new songs("reincarnation of b.b.", "Brighter Than A Thousand Suns", and " Different World"), they are both probably the best new album i have heard in a very long time. Number of the beast is up there with appitite, too. Gun's N' Roses are unpredictable at times. Like axl. I'm sorta through with them since they're break-up. D*** Gilby Clarke. Still waiting for Chinese Democracy, too. I still love their music. But, you cannot, i repeat, cannot compete with iron maiden.

You just can't compare these two. GNR were really big, but for a very short time, and with totally different themes in their songs than Iron Maiden. The sound is different too. When you hear the guitar play, you immediatelly can tell whether its GNR or Maiden. If you are a true heavy metal fan, that is. I love, respect and listen to both.

G-N-R by a long shot! Iron Madien is great, and did contribute a lot to the world of Metal. But if you're looking for general overall quality and the amount of recorded hits, then Guns-n-Roses definitly takes the perverbial cake.

Depends on how I'm feeling,if I'm in party mood or my girl's pissed off at me I listen to GNR, but if I feel evil I listen to Iron Maiden.

i don't like iron maiden at all ... don't know any one of their songs ... but guns n' roses, one of my all-time favourites ...
