one very common way is to ask her to dine out.

I try to meet her parents on or before the first date. This eases tensions for all, afterwards, that is, because the parents may be concerned who is dating their daughter, and you really should find out what kind of family she comes from. This might help you figure out is she the right one for you.
Don't go all out on the first date. Learn about her. Listen to her. Enjoy company together in a public place, a place where she is comfortable, where you are comfortable too, so that you both can relax.

You just ask her out. Make it seem like you are hanging out with a friend. If she shows interest in you answer her questions, but try to redirect the focus on her so that she feels that you are interested in her.
If you both do this, that means that you are both attracted to one another. Enjoy the first date and hold back with the first kiss if you think she likes you.
Kiss her randomly in the middle of the 2nd date by surprise and just tell her, "I couldn't help myself. You're so special to me." Never compliment them physically because they don't seem to care if you are physically attracted to them. Girls seem to be more turned on if you find "them" as a "person" attractive.
Keep that in mind, and you will do very well on dates!
Enjoy it! It will be a fun experience.
PS-Don't forget to be as relaxed as possible and be yourself.

Be friendly, smile a lot, listen way more than you talk, but talk. Be a gentleman, pick up the tab, open doors, compliment her appearance - something about it, no backhanded compliments. Eat properly - don't wolf it down. Express your having fun. When you do something fun, show it (expression, or something).
When you get done, and take her home - bring her to the door, get close, inside her space, let her move to kiss you.

Since you are in Honolulu, take her to the Atlantis submarine ride. Afterwards, grab some manapua and some Spam musubi and head on to Waikiki to watch the sunset.

umm, take her somewhere nice, have a little dinner, a movie. on my first date, we went to the mall and got kicked out for causing trouble in the photobooth (we didnt see the screens on the OUTSIDE of the booth). then we went and saw a movie, then after it was over we snuck up onto the roof and looked at the "stars" for a while. them she called her mom to tell her she was staying at my house under parental supervision ( my rents were out of town, so i paid my bro 5 bucks to talk to her like he was my dad.) and the rest was history.
