MsNic: Poetry is among the most difficult fields in which to get a foot in the door. If you haven't done so already, I suggest trying to get some of your pieces on to websites and magazines. This will build a following of readers (and give publishers pause to consider your work more seriously). You want to build a solid portfolio of published pieces (see if you can retain the rights to them afterward) that you can show to an acquisitions person. Even then you may find it hard. I ended up using my poetry as part of self help books to illustrate various points (smile).

Another option would be to self pubilsh someplace like cafepress.com where you can upload your book and choose how much you want to sell it for. This way you retain total control over your work (but you're also on your own in marketing it).

Best wishes
