I have memories that will always make me sad to some degree. Some like the death of my dad, a bad break-up with a beloved boyfriend, even graduation (which I was elated at the time) can make me sad (since I miss my buddies sooo much).

Sadness is a emotion that needs to be felt and addressed. The deep sadness is a way for our Ego to force us to learn from the experience that made us sad. You should not linger in sadness for a long time; anything in excess is damaging. Some cancer patients I have meet schedual sadness into their day. They will be sad from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM and then force themselves into another emotion. Very wise and disiplined people. Dunno if I could only wallow in my own mortality, but this technique does work for many.

God Bless.

Yes, I remember them and sometimes feel sad, but grateful, too. There is an upside to everything, and you need to get past the beating yourself up for making a mistake, or not having the outcome you wanted. 90% of your attitude is how you handle the 10% of what happens that is beyond your control....if you don't think you'll ever get over something, you will be right. Each time bad stuff happens, you gain more experience, and with that comes wisdom and insight. Be thankful for the positive things that could come out of it. It might make you feel better to try thinking of it this way: CHOOSE NOT TO BE A VICTIM. Things hurt when they happen TO you, so what if they happened FOR you? And, try replacing the words 'I can't" with the words "I am not willing to"......see if that changes anything. I hope this helps.

you are very right....everything does happen for a reason. But, don't forget that everything is a lesson of some sort. You may not be able to see it now but, later it may make sense. Here's an example: My brother died in 2002. He was 6 yrs old. Very sad. I was like his mom. But, it happened for a reason. My family was put back together by that and without it I would have been a different person. Everything that happens to you makes you who you are. Aren't you happy about that. I am the person that I am today be/c of all the bad **** that has happened to me.

Because thats just what happens. And as for your answer to another question you have issues. I am with a white girl and i wouldnt be with a black chick if she was the last woman on earth. You think so highly of yourself and black women and so lowly of everyone else. Black woman have probably the biggest fattest butts in the world. And you know what, not everyone gets into that. Maybe some brothers and the occasional white dude. Keep telling yourself its sexy, maybe youll believe it and feel better about yourself

by using fact you reside on the damaging issues in existence. as a replace of thinking approximately how he left you on your pal, think of roughly how super that's to have a loser like that, who for sure did not care approximately you or your emotions, out of your existence. I somewhat tend to be a "pessimist" too, yet you will not be able to spend your finished like thinking with regard to the undesirable issues. in case you do, you will by no ability see all the mind-blowing issues on your existence, and in 10 years from now all you have the flexibility to do is ask your self why not something good occurs on your existence (by using fact you in basic terms did not observe them).
