The bride to be is a complet beeeeeyatch!!! You are supposes to ask a good friend to stand up in your wedding. . . not someone who will look good in pictures. Your friend (ahem). . is shallow and lame. If there is any justice in the world. . . she will get married. . have a kid. . . get fat. . . stay fat. . . and her husband will dump her for her maid of honer who has since become thin. Then your shallow friend can sit home alone with her dildo!

Is the bride to be REALLY that shallow & stupid? Kick your best friend out of your wedding party because she gained weight? My god, with friends like her, who the hell needs enemies? She should have her best friend there for each thing - and if she tells the girl that she can't be maid of honor because of her weight I hope the girl beats the crap out of the bride! Let her show up for her wedding pix with a black eye, teeth missing & stitches!!
That just sux - people are so vain, shallow, stupid & demeaning. Their friendship has no real value to the bride, then - it was all about what the maid of honor could do for the selfish wench. She got her shower & party now the fat chick can go find something else to do - she's not good enough to be in her perfect wedding pictures. I hope the bride gets divorced before her first wedding anniversary!

She is wrong!!!!!!!!!!! It's not what's on the outside it's what's on the inside. A best friend would not let something like that matter. ruining the pictures come on that's ridiculous. Besides she would not be in every picture anyway. If she's worried about all the weight her friend has put on she could tell her she is worried about her health but to not let her in her wedding is horrible. If she's already thrown the shower and bachelorett party she must have already bought the dress!! As long as the dress fits what's the problem. I weighed about 103 when I got married and by maid of honor weighed almost 180 and had just had a baby 1 1/2 months before the wedding and 2 other brides maids were in the same weight group. They were my best friends and I wanted them to be a part of my wedding. Size does not matter!!!!!!!

That's some friend you have!!!! OK,maybe the Maid-of-honor gained weight! But how much? Did she go from a size 6 to an 18? Weight can be lost. The bride could just talk to her. I understand the bride wants every thing perfect, but does she want to lose your friend over it! She is looking to lose this friend. Wedding only last 1 day, friendship can last longer than the marriage.

She's being too shallow ... the maid of honour is her long time best friend and she should stick with her regardless of her size.
Besides which, she'll make the bride look even slimmer and more attractive - OK so that's not exactly what you want to hear ..
The bride does risk losing a very good friendship just for the sake of a few photographs. If the marriage ends in tears, I'd bet her friend would be the first there to console her (and probably burn the wedding photos anyway!)

Why is the bride even considering acting like such a pretentious snob toward her best friend! Her vanity disgusts me. Her friend probably already feels terrible for gaining so much weight, and being taken out of the wedding party because she's too fat to be in pictures would upset her completely. The bride should suck it up and maybe take her friend to the gym with her a few times before the wedding, and she should definately keep her in the wedding.

If I were the friend who spent all that money to be told I wasn't in the wedding any longer. I would go to the wedding sit in the front of the church and scream obscenities all through the ceremony. That is pretty messed up and the Bride needs a lesson in how to be friends to someone, or a good a$s kickin which ever.

Uh yeah. She's marrying her fiance, not her dumb friend who decided to turn into a hungry hungry hippo. So what if she loses a friend. After you get married you end up not hanging with your friends as much anyways cause you are so busy with your spouse.
Have her tell her friend point blank, "Look, I dont want you to be the maid of honor or whatever. You've gained way too much weight and I think its going to ruin the pictures with a fat chick in there."
Yeah its F-d up, but Waaaaaaa... Its her wedding, she can do whatever she wants. And maybe this will give her friend a good kick in the a$$ to not be such a pig.

Sounds like the bride is a really excellent friend! Besides, if the maid of honor is less attractive, there would be that much more attention for the bride, right? She seems like the type to love more attention!

No!
That is totally wrong. This is her best friend so she gained a little weight...that doesnt change the person she is. And I bet the girl is still beautiful even if she is heavier. I would let the friend who is doing everythign for this wedding still be the maid of honor. It wont ruin pictures and the bride must be very shallow to think of losing her best friend due to weight for pictures. Also you said it yourself in your question...This just wrong! Yes Yes it is!

That is so wrong. But the best friend should have known that she was in the wedding and got fitted for the dress several times I assume.
This chick is a Bridezilla and needs to chill. That's extremely selfish to edge your bf out of maid of honor.
