You can build a fly trap using a 20 oz soda bottle, a small cone of paper, and some bait (such as mushed up bananas or peaches).
Put the fruit into the bottle, and tape the cone of paper point down onto the mouth of the bottle. The cone should have a slightly larger than fly sized hole. Once the flies end up in the trap, you can pop it in the freezer and reuse it a couple of times, or throw it away.

get rid of the fruit - just don't leave anything out on the counter top
try your best not to leave dirty dishes in the sink - if you have too then rinse them till there is not more food residue
keep garbage can closed tight!!
I have been having the same problem and since doing these things there has been no more
good luck!!!

Most often fruits or vegetables left out in the open are the attraction. Protect them and spray. They will not return if foods are sealed. They actually appear from tiny"eggs" on those items, invisible to the eye.
Sealed bags or the fridge prevents them.

I used to get them, and I didn't have any food out anywhere. The exterminator told me to pour some bleach or Comet down the drain, b/c they were somehow coming from the sink. I tried it, and it worked immediately.

Yeah, I need the same thing. First, get rid of whatever they are going after.
