i'm a girl and i'll start an emo band... but i think it is pretty hard to sing emo... any tips? =)

Sing like you hate the world and hate everyone. Like what emo people do. Just let everyone know what you feel, feel emotional. Have you ever listen to that emo song it should help you a little.

try a diffrent genre emo bands all sound the same to me:
But if your persistant on starting
1) go to a vocal class,
2)throw your voice out and scream loud.
3) have someone else do the screaming parts and you just sing or play an instrument.

DONT "TRY" AND SING ANYTHING, DO WHAT COMES NATURAL TO YOU WHEN YOU FEEL AND REACT TO THE MUSIC.

don't emo ppl suck!! there just sad, and they don't think for them self's... just try plain rock.
