how do i unsubscribe fr. yahooalerts?

iv tried unsubscribing from yahoo alerts i did exactly what they said but i am still getting alerts. i dont want yahoo alerts because it is states news and weather, i live in saint john n.b.

check be sure you do not have any alerts selected
it may also take am much a 2 weeks to stop receiving alerts after canceling them!
