trying to burn to Cd but it keeps telling me there is no disc in Cd drive . please insert a writable Cd in?

to drive .but ther is a cd in driver i have put in a blank cd x3 and it still telling me ther no cd in drive can some one help .thanks

you can try uninstalling your drive and reinstalling it
go into device manager
right click on my computer
click on manage
click on device manager
expand your cd roms
right click on your burner
click on uninstall
then at the top of the chain in device manager you should see your computer name
right click on that
then click on scan for hardware changes
it should find and reinstall your burner

have you tried to reinstall the driver

May be there is any problem on that CD, try to use another blank CD, if Message still comes then u have problem in ur CD-writer

Here are two reasons that I have found in my experience:
1) The drive needs to be cleaned
2) The drive doesn't "like" the CD-R disc. Try another disc or another brand.

2) ur cd writer is not working properly, get it cleaned or check the laser.

May be you have two CD Players in your system.The software must have been pointing some other drive.
