Technically, you don't get a three dimensional solid because rotating a hyperbola doesn't full enclose anything. It is a shape though. Check out the link to see some pictures of what they look like:

Strictly speaking I am not sure, are there rules that need to be followed for something to be classified as a shape? I don't know.

Like has been already said, if you rotate a two dimensional hyperbola about its axis of symmetry, by 2 Pi, you get a hyperboloid.

An egg timer does look like a hyperboloid.

When you rotate (3 dimensional) a 2 dim hyperbole around its symmetry axis, you get a hyperboloid.
