Cities like Washington DC, London & more recently Mumbai have faced terror attacks and natural calamities. The people these cities resume their daily routines (jobs) very soon. I have to analyze, by means of a survey that is this behavior resilience (bounce back). I have to find the truth. Please also state how your question will help in the analysis.

I think you should scrap the yes/no business and do true/false instead. make a statement, and have the respondent answer true if they agree, and false if they disagree. you can get a lot more information that way. also, it makes it like a game thus making it fun for the respondents to participate. you'll get a better sample.

Did you return to work because you needed money? (seems like this would be the number one reason.)
Did you feel security had improved thus allowing you to return? I wouldn't go back if I was scared.
Did you return to work to get your family back into a daily routine? There is security in doing familiar things.
Did you return to work to help the economy and your country get back on track? There is a feeling of patriotism after attacks.
