Just keep your eye on those kids climbing out of the rubble of war, who no longer have a family because mom, dad and their sibblings are splattered all over the neighborhood they were just moments ago, living happily in. There's your next generation of Terrorist.

There are no details in your question, but alienation can be caused by 2 pricipal factors... it could have been cause by a physical defect or injury, or caused phycologically by mistreat or rejection,etc...
Unfortunately, it is very unlikely preventable in most cases, and depending on what you discribe as alienation it will be carried on all life long...
If the allienation is minor, a person can lead a normal life and have children who will not be alienated themselves but will be affected by the parenthood of an or 2 alienated parents...
Some people have also "temporary alienation" when caused by an accident or sickness...
It is difficult to say when no details are given..., but a good diagnostic can be given by most specialist if you seek help...

Good Luck!

The best way that I know how to avoid or aide those whom already feel alienated is by introducing them into a peer group that is open and friendly resulting in the temprement that is cohesive...please note that social isolation and family isolation often create feelings of resentment and gaurded behaviour patterns. Try letting your gaurd down slowly and allow yourself the opprotunity to grow and expand your social perimeter and cautiously open yourself up to new experiences.

Alienation can only be prevented by taking the time to be with someone and interact socially. a child alienated will carry it through their adulthood and be socially disabled.
