You should proceed by stepping away from any notion of telling "Brandy" anything that is not your concern. If She doesn't know this already, then it will be for her to find out.

Just tell him. If he's having issues, sit him down and have a talk, if you're close enough to him to do that. If you're not a close friend, he might just tell you to get lost.

Actually, also, that's fairly common. My boyfriend tells me he's actually a lesbian trapped in a man's body. I am inclined to agree. ;-D

You are confusing the word "need" with the word "want." Why is this any of your business? I assume you have NO problems of your own and have time to butt into other's lives. If I were thee, I would keep my mouth shut and get on with my own life. Good luck

Maybe he's just gay. There was once a guy in our office who was obviously gay, but who always acted straight. This went on for so long that we wondered if we should tell him he was gay! When he finally did come out, we told him that we knew he was gay--we just thought HE didn't know. He thought that was hilarious. So....your colleague probably does know, but just isn't ready to admit it yet. Let him decide.

You really need to tread lightly. This really is a tough subject and issue to deal with. If the name suggests you are a doctor, you must make sure to have psychological personnel there to help with this. This may be a tough conversation and transition for this person. I Wish you all the luck.

You need to mind your own business, dear, and trust that "Brandy" will make his own decisions regarding his personal life.

That's pretty presumptuous of you. You don't need to do any such thing. How your colleague chooses to identify is a personal decision, not your's.
