In some of the endeavours, first degree is Masters, next is PhD.

Go to German consulate,or write to them and request info. Join In-do German Society, they are in major cities. At the society you may meet some one who has a PhD from Germany. Internet and library can help.

Before doing any thing, learn German while in India.
