I have no idea. But they have to be one if not all of the following:
* Inmature
* No respect for self
* No respect for others
* Very low self-esteem

I'll answer that as one who has done it. I went in to a ladies bathroom when I was 23 years old and wrote my number inside the stall saying "If you want to meet a nice guy that will treat you right call him at this number"...believe it or not, I received so many calls, some were nasty and some were legitimate. I met my first wife that way...it really works. naturally kids will be kids in that sense around the year 1983, but now I am grown up and older now and more mature than writing on walls which is stupid, but back then it was brilliant.

I'm not sure, but my theory (which also explains a lot of other stupid things people do) is that maybe when we evolved from being apes to humans, some of us made the full transition to acting like humans, and others of us only look like humans but have actually not yet fully evolved from apes. Those are the people that write messages on bathroom walls.

God i just get so pissed off when i am taking a crap, i just need to scrawl my hate on the nearest wall. You should see my bathroom at home. Most people won't even go in, and those that do come out changed for life.

With youth and being of the male gender come thoughtlessness. They write it imagining what other people will think or do when they see it or just because of their innate nature to diminish and destroy. Not to be negative or male bashing, but it's our nature.

because restrooms are associated with dirtiness and shame, plus that's where you can write dirty things on a wall without being caught.
