there are consignemnts stores that charge a portion of the selling price. If you take them to a thrift store, in most cases you are donating them. You could also have a yard sale. This time of year, with school about to start, parents are looking for ways to get nice clothing that their children could wear. Also a lot of adults look for ways to cut costs on clothing.

Thrift stores are usually run by donations (I used to work in one!!). If you want money, have a garage sale--I've honestly never heard of any store buying used clothes from someone.

You might be able to sell them there if you talk to the manager or ask a friend who is having a garage sale if you can put your stuff in there.
