God did not give you the right to divorce your husband. Your Pastor is not God, nor is he God's literal Word. Jesus is. You did not follow Jesus in this matter. Jesus said, "I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife..." Matthew 19:9. There are absolutely NO examples of any woman of God divorcing her husband. And it was NOT unknown in those times. Jesus was not speaking to just his own times. God knew full well what Scriptures would constitute now. If God wanted to let you divorce your husband, some precedence would have been set. Men are not women, and women are not men. The arrangement of marriage is not exactly the same though it is to be a partnership, yes. A widow can be head of her own family. But that's not the ideal even then for her to have to do it without any family men helping her. Repent before you compound this even worse and take another down with you. If you've messed it up, you may remain celibate and return to righteousness that way. You believed your Pastor because trusting God for a miracle seemed too hard for you at the time. That does not mean God could not have solved it for you.

I am the 5th wife, he is my 3rd husband.... we have been happily married almost 4 years and going on our 8th year together. So I won't stereotype any man or woman based on the number of marriages they have had. Get to know the person, their situation, talk to people who knew them as a couple... but make your own assessment of him as a person.

We all make bad choices sometimes and the situations cause for different solutions. In our cases, divorces happened but I think it is because we "thought" we were in love with our former spouses and really were just lonely people getting together with other lonely people.

it all depends on who he was married to and did they cause the divorce or was it his fault. I would give him a chance and get to know him he could be the best man ever divorce is always a 2 way street and maybe he was not the one that was the problem and maybe he fought with all he had to hold his marriages together and had to give up in the end. get to know him he could be the perfect one for you and he had to go down a bumpy road to get to you and made some wrong choices along the way. maybe he was looking for love in all the wrong places and now he has found you

He is a unstable person, no direction in life. Definite not someone you can depend and put your hope in. If he can have 3 marriage break-ups, why not 4th and 5th times. He must be someone with lots of charater flaws.

One that should never marry again. Someone that doesn't know what true marriage is. Someone that don't believe in it and is not true to it.
