the previous UEFA Champions' League winner will qualify directly to the Group Stage. there are no qualifying match to be played.
the previous UEFA Cup winner will also qualify directly to the 1st round before entering the group stage.

I'm not to sure but you better check uefa website to make sure I do know that the top clubs in europe who performs well in their domestic leagues usually qualifies for the upcoming season of the uefa cup.

I don't think so. If I read the early results in a paper, I will read many names of Clubs I never heart of before.
