It would have been phenomenal to see them tour together. Not separate.

Probably the same reason Sting and Stewart Copeland don't get along professionally anymore. Extreme differences of creative ideas. And, I am sure egos banging against each other has something to do with it too. But, you're right it is sad. They both as individuals sound okay, but when they collaborated, they sounded incredible.

they played together last year at live aids. Its not so much that they dislike eachother, they were in a band for a looooooooooong time together, any relationship or friendship is hard to keep up when you spend that much time touring and playing together. Check out Gilmours solo album, and look for all the obscure PF albums., there is lots of stuff to find that was never mainstream.
