I like to enjoy the moment. Everyone wrote the Yankees off after Godzilla and Gary went down. Like you said, it's a 162 games season. Should be fun the rest of the way. Your Tigers are definitely the story of the season.

I agree. ur not supposed to look at the race until September. Just know that right now, the wild card leader in the N.L. has won 59 or 60 games (Reds) and they probably will have to win at least 88 to get the wild card. The Yankees will have to do the same thing and hold off both soxes and the twins.
Georgie, I think the Tigers will win 107 games this season. Do u think higher or lower?

You are right "Georgie Porgie"...as a very wise Italian once said "It aint't over 'till its over".....just like 1978 when you had a 14 game lead and you "choked".......stop! stop! don"t get your panties in a twist.....just like us "choking" the three games in the playoffs against your ""stinkin Red Sox"!!.....by the way it is 4 games...look at the loss column....can't make those up but you can the wins......I am the "biggest" Yankee fan in the world but I woke up the next day and the world didn't crumble.......but for what its worth I did root for the Sox.....will always go with the American League....we will not make it because of middle relief.....what's going to be your excuse...........the Red Sox still stink!!!.....Go Yankees!!!!

Hey with all the injuries that has plagued the Yankees and they are still 3 games up...Thats AMAZING!!!
Boston fans are just hurt becuase they can't even compete with a kinda of replacement lineup the Yanks have put together.

There is a bit of excitement in realizing that we caught up. For the whole year, we were behind. Now, there is a lead. It can easily go away, but we have confidence in the Yankees, especially since the Sox lost Varitek.

I'm not a Yankees fan, but it seems pretty obvious to me that they've got a far better shot at winning the East than do the Red Sox.
The young pitchers on the Sox are starting to show some cracks, and the much-maligned Yankee staff has started to pitch better over the past month - in fact, they have a better team ERA than the supposedly better-pitching Red Sox.
I don't see any Yankees fans going overboard with the three-game lead, at least no more than I saw from Sox fans when it was their team in front. Unless you have higher expectations for Yankee fans, I don't see any problem in how they're acting right now over their team's success. Red Sox fans had no problem talking trash for the past month, so why should Yankees fans not be allowed the same?
I'll be watching my Blue Jays cruise into another third-place finish, while the Yanks win another division title.
Oh, and what happened to all those people who were mocking the Abreu deal? They seem to have disappeared, or at least to have shut their mouths.

The red Sox blow--they can't even beat the pathetic Royals. If Papelbon wasn't busy blowing guys in the clubhouse, maybe he could close a game. The Yankees have 26 world championships, how many do the Sox have??
Can't blame the Red Sox fans really though, I mean look who lives in MA, mostly New England homos and ugly drunk sluts, if I lived there and not NY I would be a hater too. Oh yeah the Pats suck too.

Yes, it's still too early for Yankees fans to be celebrating, but if the Red Sox keep playing poorly like they are now, the Yankees probably will run away with the title in the AL east.

As much as I hate the Yankees, they are going to win the AL East unless Boston can find a way to wake the hell up and start winning games. If the sorry a$$ed KC Royals are rolling them up, things can't be going well in Beantown. If I had to pick the team right now who may be the team going to be on the outside looking in come October in the AL, it is going to be the Red Sox. Not only are they chasing the Yankees, but right now they are chasing the Twins and the White Sox for the wildcard.

You, as a Tiger's Fan, are a little out of touch. As a Yanks fan, I have seen many Red Sox fans tear apart the Yanks when they were a game up. Now is our turn to throw it back at them. The Yanks have had more injuries to major players than most teams and still manage to have a winning record and leading a division.
You should just be quiet because the Tigers are winning for the first time in 13 years. Now you think you can talk. No not yet.
