How competitive will they be? Anybody know whom David Richards has been talking to (drivers, engineers, manufacturers)? Will any of the 2006/7 discards/testers (Klien, Massa(?), Davidson etc) get their seats there? Or will there be completely new faces?

prodrive is likely to enter as a mclaren b team, which has prompted jean alesi to pull the plug on his japanese formula 1 team that he was putting together with mclaren chassis

alex wurz may get a seat depending on his performance next year as he was highly rated by david richards at benetton, he is also a former mclaren tester and highly rated in F1 circles

failing that giancarlo fisichella was highly rated by david richards and will be out of contract by then, a number of other mclaren related drivers are also options like pedro dela rosa / lewis hamilton - marc gene may also find a seat there as his nationality (spanish, same as current champion) will be in demand by then to feed the demand that fernando alonsos success is creating although its just idle specualtion really

At this stage it's difficult to even speculate on David Richards Prodrive team. There was some suggestion that the outfit may even become a McLaren B team, like Super Aguri and Honda or Toro Rosso and Red Bull.
Regardless, much will depend on the technical team David Richards puts together, but I don't think we should expect much success for several years. Traditionally new teams aren't truly competitive for several years - it took both Jordan and Stewart many years before either won a race, BAR/Honda just got its first win and Sauber/BMW is still waiting for one.
As for who will get the rides at Prodrive, I think we'll have to wait until at least the middle of the 2007 season to see who is available, but you would expect one of the drivers to be quite experienced.

it truly is a probability that Anthony Davidson may be driving for Prodrive. As for the vehicle, no images were released. On 28 April 2006, Prodrive were formally granted get acceptable of entry to to F1 at the same time as the FIA presented the record of entrants to the 2008 formula One international Championship. I think about the only thing certain with Formula 1 in 2008 is that it's going to be...er... interesting. Personally, I don't like to see development locked in to this year's performance. I just can't figure out what the FIA is trying to do... besides destroy F1 as the most advanced auto racing in the world.... I think someone needs to take Bernie Eckelstein out back and 'talk' some sense into him.
