I'm 16 and my mom is taking me to get my belly pierced today, but she looks really young and I look like my dad nothing like her, every one thinks she's my sis, do we need to bring my birth certificate, or will they believe us when she shows her drivers lisence that shows we have the same last name and that she will be 36 in two weeks

It depends on where you go. Most reputable shops will ask for id from both of you. Most places do this for the exact reason that emmybabii just told us about. They're actually going to want proof that it is your mother, not your cousin, or your sister's best friends dogsitter, or some weirdo you just found on the street

Depends on the location you're going too, but more than likely they will ask for a birth certificate or a license to match - they have to keep records for the state/government regardless, so at least a drivers license for her and a birth cert for you.

A liseince should be fine.. but if you have any doubt I would bring a birth certificate just in case.

Ok, well, I have piercings, and i was 16 when i got my first, my mom had to show id as well as me. Im from ny, it might be different by state and all, but i know in ny you have to have valid id because they keep a copy on file.

most likely the shop will ask for some sort of id from and and definatly your moms. after that is said and done they should poke you and send you on your way.

i think it'll be fine dont think to much into it they will let you even if your mom looks like a twelve year old pick me 4 besy answer good luck

when i got my done they jus has my 'mom' sign it no questions asked...they asked my birthday and hers but that was it and my 'mom' was actually my 21 year old cousin so you will probaly be okay
