whats the biggest con you have fell for?

Years ago when I was younger and bar maids/guys weren't so wise. I used to do the 20 pound 10 pound trick.! For those of you not in the know, it's when you hold u a 20 pound note infront of them all the time they are serving you, then just before you pay ya swap it for a 10 pound note. If they don't notice the swap they then give you the change for a 20 and you end up 10 pound better off!
Well one day I was in a club with a mate showing off to a bunch of girls and my mate encouraged me to show the girls how it was done. Well I didn't have a 20 so I used a 50 (which should work better as they look similar). But after having had a few too many drinks I got the notes round the wrong way and my slight of hand was not on top form. The guy behind the bar clocked what I was doing and gave me the change for a ten! I think he new I'd got away with it in there many times before so i kept quite and buried my head in shame pretending not to notice he'd had me over! So I ended up being forty quid down. I did however end up marrying one of the girl! Unfortunatley we divorced 3 year ago and that cost me a whole lot more than 40 quid........If only I'd stayed in bed that day! lol
My days of the short con are well over now but at least I can look back and laugh, the only time i got done over was by myself! lol

When we were first married, we bought a membership into a buyer's club. We paid $700 or $800 to purchase things at a discount. The company had a showroom with items, but it disappeared not too long after we paid our money.

My friend called me at work once and asked me about lava lamp light bulbs. I began to help her since I didn't realize it was her.. Then I heard the person laughing and said "oh.. you butthole."

It was a good joke, but I totally fell for it. I called her on her work phone later that day asking about cell phones as if I knew nothing and tried to get her frustrated.. It worked out well =)

My sister convinced me that going to a party with her would be packed full of fun. We spent the whole night eating cheesy bread and M&Ms and watching re-runs of Law & Order while her boyfriend and his friends played poker with a pack of cards featuring kama sutra positions.
The most fun I had was when I was leaving.

Someone called my house at 3 am ...I answered the phone and a lady told me she was calling from BT and there was a fault on my line. she asked me to take 3 steps away from the phone and clap and whistle 3 times.Being a helpful kinda girl, I did..and when i picked the receiver up I could hear a gang of girls pissing themselves laughing on the other end........I felt so embarrassed...bastards!

when i started working for a building firm, I had to go and collect some materials for the men on site and deliver them on to them. One of the guys phoned me when I was in the stockists telling me he needed 15 sky hooks and a glass hammer.........Im blonde and yes I fell for it, much to the amusement of the counter staff. Doh

somebody claiming to be from phones4you phoning me on my mobile and offering me free insurance but needed my bank account number. i nearly fell for it they got sent off with a flea in their ear.

i booked and payed for an apt when moving to tenerife. we packed in our jobs and said our goodbyes, got to tenerife and the woman who owned the apt completely denied any knowledge of me. she then emailed me a week later to try and get my bank details the fecking *****. Oh i was fuming!!
