Best is luis philip scolari. He made brazil champions for the fifth time and improved the portugese football dramitically giving them the title "European cup 2004" runner up's and semifinalist of worldcup 2006.
The worst is otto pfister(Togo's national manager) as he has habit of leaving the team away in important games.

Well, I can think of some good coaches such as Scolari, Ferguson, Wenger or Rijkard but my favorite is Carlo Ancelotti, AC Milan's coach. In these years he won everything with Milan, the Champions, the Italian League, the Super cup of Europe etc. Milan played in the Champions League final twice in 3 years and last year went till the semifinals. This results have made it the firs team in the UEFA ranking for the last 5 years. He is a very positive person and never argues with his players. I think the worst coaches are Capello(Real Madrid) and Mancini(Inter). The first lacks in fantasy and imagination. He only knows the 4-4-2 line-up and makes his teams play an opaque, flat football, like scoring one goal then defending the result. The second can't give a sense to the team. I have never understood what kind of football Inter plays, a defensive one or an attaching one. I think he doesn't understand it either. His team plays a very confused football, that lacks in stability as well.

Ernst Happel--took a Holland no one expected to do well w/o Cruyffa and Krol to the 1978 Final plus coached numerous teams to Cups, league titles and European Cups.
To me that is the true test of a manager if he can lead different sides in different leagues and competitions to championships.
Worst: Well, plenty but one of the worst of "top" clubs has to be Kevin Keegan. His teams were always fairly entertaining but never won anything. Plus he was an absolute disaster as Land of Eng coach.
