Just be honest, this is where they are really judging how you act, not what you specifically say. Just briefly mention a few hobbies and stuff. A tip is to look around their office to see if you can find something to relate to. (ie. see a picture of them catching a fish? Then say you love to fish! hehe)

Tell me something about yourself
Translation
What is it about you that should make me hire you?
All you have to do is tell them the skills and qualities that will make you right for the job. Tell them that you are dependable and exaggerate your skills that are pertinent to the position you are asking for.
Be honest and don't get into I'm 20 yrs. old female 5'3" divorced with two kids. They don't want to hear that crap. They really just want you to sell the heck out of yourself and create a good image in their minds of what you will be doing for them.
Hope this helps!!!

For this question you need to prepare yourself with enough exciting points on yourself to get the interviewers attention.
It is like advertisement / trailer of a movie.

When they ask you to say something about yourself. It means to tell them about what you can do for them, what qualifications you have in you to hold this job. But it doesn't mean you talk about your personal life. Nobody really wants to know about your personal life when going on a interview.

work up a 1-2 minute spiel about yourself, highlighting skills and assets you have, why you like your line of work, how you wound up in this field, etc.
then commit it to memory. This way, when they ask you to tell them more about yourself, there you go! Polish it up, it's a commercial for you! Hey, you'd buy you, right?
don't shoot yourself in the foot and ramble on about why you hate your current job/boss or just anything.

Use words, phrases like “I am a very loyal employee, who works independently with little supervision. I also consider myself a team player and I get the job done. I am an easy person to get along with." And so on. Just be honest or it will catch up with you.

notsureifimshy gave a good anwser, you can also counter them with a question that will help get more specifics... What would you like to know... where would you like me to begin...Don't ask where you should start or say where do I begin, this sounds like you might have too much in your closet.
