The twist on the season finale of Desperate Housewives was that Tom Scavo discovered had an 11 year old daughter from a one-night stand. The mother never told him. She suddenly appears asking for 11 years of child support.
Would court rule a man to pay 11 years of child support if he never even knew he had a daughter????

Depends on the state.
Sometimes child support goes ALL the way back, in other cases, there's a statute of limitations. Seriously, this is one area of the law that we need to change. If the father never knew about the child, then he should not be liable for any part of the back child support.

Yes, I had a friend and this situation happened to him. When he was in the military he got a woman pregnant. He was never informed. When the child was sick they found some documents with his name on them listing him as the father. Now he has to pay child support for a child that he didn't even know that he had over 10 years ago.

I doubt it. If the mother doesnt tell the father.... Its kind of hard to hold him to something he never knew about. That would be extremely harsh.
