No, we have to speak up against the Repubes, we have to stand our ground and we have to show that we're not afraid to let ourselves be heard. That was the problem with Kerry, he tried to please everyone at the same time and pissed off a lot of Democrats while seeming weak to the right-wing.

Repubes will experience our wrath and we'll take congress and get this country back in shape.

I don't think so, honestly. Maybe it's politically unsavvy of me, but I see the disagreement within the democratic party as a good thing-- I don't like my political parties to be monolithic and all walking in lock-step. I think that's part of the problem today-- not enough dissent, rational dissagreement and independant thought within the government.

Unfortunately, often rational sophisticated thought is spun as weakness or indecision (see: flip-flopping from 2004 election). However, I hope we all have seen the dangers of a monolithic government that is convinced in its own righteousness.

Hopefully things will swing back, and swing hard. We just have to get out there and vote.
