In my opinion, Cervantes's Don Quijote/Quixote is not the greatest book ever - but it is a very good book. Well written.

I think is very good book and one that people should definitely read but I would not say it is the greatest book. If you enjoyed this book you would probably also enjoy Master and Margarita.

I concurr--wonderful book but it does drag after a while. Also, though it is a foundation for something, it does not reach the levels of greatness of its successors. That being said, a great foundation is needed for a great house, and I can think of no better.

It's a fantastic book!! Not the "greatest", in my opinion, but it is a classic.
The middle section seemed to drag for me, when Sancho gets his own island to govern. In fact, I skipped a few chapters (shh!) just to get to book 2.

It's a solid book. I found it enjoyable. I also know of people who detest it. It just depends on who you ask.
