I don't find it troubling, but I know people who feel uncomfortable at this. If you feel uncomfortable, why so?

Contact improvisation is a type of creative dancing where you lean to your partner (or group of people) in a way that you both would fall down if the other person would be taken away. You start moving (dancing) while all the time keeping the contact but changing the part of the body that's is in contact. Feels very good and uses the whole of your body. After a while your movements become very harmonized. The movement can be slow, calm, fast, furious, strong... anything you can think of.

Before you can be comfortable with this close contact, you have to be comfortable with yourself. It's that old, "Nobody can love me if I don't love me..." Also, learn to relax. Have fun with it. Don't get so much into your head. It's supposed to be improv... creative... you can't relax and do it properly if yu're mind is somewhere else.
