You could buy a playpen for him to sleep in, I kept one in one once.
But for the price of a playpen, you can purchase a metal cage, "dog" crate (which would be much easier to clean and keep sterile) or a rabbit hutch.
Rabbit's chew for a variety of reasons, including their LOVE of salt. Consider buying a salt ring or block for him (these are much safer and healthier for him to be chewing on).
I had a rabbit that used to chew on the small rawhide dog bones too. That's a cheap idea. Hit your local Dollar Store!

Yeah. I've seen them specifically made for rabbits and I've also seen some for guinea pigs that might work for you. You could always make one out of chicken wire if you want. Good luck!

they have open cages for pets-dog kennels. you could put that in the center of the room as a corral. the "play pen" is netted and the rabbit will eat through it.

try spraying pepper spray onto stuff you don't want him to chew on so it will stay away from it.
