Well if Russia grows up and joins the rest of the World in letting their players come ot the NHL then the Penguins will get him. I'm guessing this means that Russia is still not honoring the agreement like the rest of the World, and not letting their players come over here. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, if you know politics and Putin, but it is ashame. I would hope the Penguins offically keep the rights to him until he can come over.

A few days ago Malkin signed a 1 year deal after killing off his old contract. After he completes that hes a UFA and can do whatever he wants, if he wants to be a Penguin its gonna happen after this season.

I would say next season because he almost got this season but the Russians are to greedy to keep the best hockey player outside the NHL in their league. There are alot of good players in the Russian league but its time to let lose the Russian talents in the NHL cause were waiting!!!
Penguins future looks very very bright
Crosby, Malkin, Stall
Unbelievable

I think that they will get him eventually but not this year because he signed aa contract to play in Russia. I hope he does come to Pittsburgh because him and Crosby would be a great match. And I love the Penguins! Hope it helps!

I thought they had him, but just saw something about him staying in Russia.

That blows. I have no answer, but just thought I'd chime in. I want the Pens to pull it together. I'm not a huge fan or anything (got my Sabs) but I hate to see a team that has won the Cup floundering to the point of moving.

Very sad, so I say Go Pens!

it doesn't look good for the Pens, i think he will be staying for another year. but Vladimir Trediak is now the head of Russia's hockey organization and is trying to fix the problem cause he too really wanted to play in the NHL and had similar problems.
