What are people talking about when they say Bloody Mary?

I know that its a drink, but what else is it? I am confused. Can you people tell me what else it means? You know, when you say it over and over again? Somethings supposed to happen? What?

Can you tell me what is supposed to happen? Like is Mary supposed to come possess you or something?

Queen Mary I of England reigned from 1553-1558. She became know as Bloody Mary during the reign of her successor, Elizabeth, for the perceived ferocity of the religious persecutions, and has had that epithet ever since. The other Bloody Mary is a witch in folklore and a children's game. If you stand in front of a mirror in the dark and say her name 3 times, she is supposed to appear. I hope this helps.
