If you did not enter then yes, blatant scam.
If they want some kind processing fee or any personal information up front then again, scam.

Sorry friend but there is no Microsoft, Yahoo or other e-mail lottery, it's a scam do not answer do not give personal information. the iinternet is safe enough if you are careful but please answer nothing that you are doubtful about.Good Luck and be careful

You say you got AN e-mail on this lottery, I can't tell you how many I've gotten. I would be the riches person on this planet. Don't even bother reading them. Delete them right away. They must think we're jerks, not to say the least.

Yes. Avoid problems by simply deleting. I've gotten a number of those also. They mass mail from time to time, usually to suck you into sending them money for the "privilege". Well, better than just deleting, mark it as spam.

When I see an email like that, I'll delete it without even opening it. It's phishing and definitely a scam. Just ignore it. If you open it, they'll know you have a legitmate email address and those junk emails just increase. That's what's happened to me and I don't even open them.

OH.. of course it is a scam.. Many of those also come out of Austria. It is unfortunate, though, how many hundreds of thousands of Americans fall for it and send money .... money that they will never get back.
