my father doesn't like it when i spend some time on grooming (facial, pedicure, etc.), and says that its time and money wastage. i don't spend hours though, i just give myself an hour per week. what should i do to explain him that it is not waste of time and money? are all fathers like that?

I think all father's are like that. They don't get those kind of things so they can't understand.

Just say... "dad, I want to look pretty for you :)

What can he say then?

I was the same way...said the same things but now that I am mid-life I recognize things that need more attention to and better understand the importance that an ounce of prevention could produce a pound of cure later in life...I'd say most fathers are like that...it appears its unnecessary now but give it another 20 years and all will recognize the importance of having a facial, pedicure, etc...

Well I don't think there is much that can be said or done being that he is the one paying for everything. So until you start paying for your own grooming your father will always feel the way he does about it.

for one between your age and always gonna be daddys lil girl yes, they dont like the idea they grow up, give him some understanding on this when lettin him know you are tryin to do the girl thing , you also have to be careful on makeup it does age your skin and you can get away w/ the mascara more , but can always talk to him lettin him know its just what you do,

Just let him know that us women need to look and feel good. We do stuff like that to relieve stress, especially if its your own money.
