A first degree in which your chosen subject is accounting, it tends to be offered by the newer universities but does not allow you to practice as an accountant.
In order to become an accountant you will need to sit your professional exams with a body such as the ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA and fulfil a training period with a qualifying firm. These can be done with any first degree - you don't have to do accounting (and many training firms would rather you didn't).
