War on terror is a dangerous thing which reduces sovereignty to a level which can be violated by any other country in the name of containing terrorism. Terrorism has become a weapon with cowardice groups who use it to influence the foreign policies of Islamic nations against the western states. But it is proving to be counter productive. On the other hand, it is aggravating the hostility between the west and the Islamic unity.

That the "war on terror" is a lie. No terrorist on the face of this earth would face our Marines in a fair fight. None, they are cowards. They do the Dirty work behind our backs, just like Nam, no different.
Guerrilla warfare can not be won, we learned that in Nam. The Soviets learned that in Afghanistan. They lost How many?
We have lost 2595 and have over 19,000 wounded. We lost over 58,000 in Nam. The war In Iraq will cost working class tax payers over $2 trillion and they had no WMD. Iraq had no tanks, no planes and half the military had deserted before we invaded them. Iraq also surrendered after desert Storm. Facts.

I have learned that the whole world hates the U.S. of A. That is so depressing but I don't blame them. They feel we are arrogant and selfish, and I suppose it is the American way to show these traits.
I just wish the whole world could have mixed culture and stop fighting over religion. They blame us. I'm sure we've done something to them, but I'm not entire educated enough to know what. Plus, I know that their governments will brainwash them.
Japan did that to its people. Their military told their people that our soldiers would rape and torture them. There were so many horror stories that the men in the family were expected to kill the family if it seemed like the soldiers were getting to close to their town/village.
I heard a Japanese man tell a story of it. He said that his dad was away and it was his and his brother's responsability to kill their family members before the American soldiers came. They beat their sisters and their mother in the skull with a rock after they realized that strangling them took to long. He was so graphic I was close to tears.
He said that they had just finished killing their mother when the soldiers came. He was crying by this time. The soldiers (of course) did nothing to them. In fact, they helped him and brought him back to the states. He killed his whole family (minus his brother) because their government told them horror stories about our soldiers and made them seem like monsterous humans.
That may be part of what is happening to the rest of the world, only not so much on a personal level.

That war is good for international bankers, Bush is a liar and a murderer, that the military makes some soldiers sick enough to rape a 14 year old girl and then kill her and her family, how fast we can loose loved ones that beleived they were fighting for a good cause, how many liberties we have given up and how vulnerable America really is.

I've learned that Conflict begets conflict... war creates more war... and that it's easier for some governments to send in the troops rather than work out a peaceful resolution.

Killing bad guys while pursuing longer-term strategies works like no other combination of solutions.
No different than any other war you intend to win.

That as always what is really important is that it might cost some one some money and it might make someone some money - misery, pain, human tradegy - I don't think these things seem to matter to the people doing all the killing - do you ?
