They are interested in India, for the same reason there is this increased in Israel. India, like Israel is becoming an economic powerhouse due to a highly educated young workforce, which in turn makes these countries hubs for technological advancement and productivity. Hence any political turmoil that these countries face will directly effect our own since our economies are so intermingled. Their economic success results in our prosperity. Hence, we have a vested interest in seeing that they are safe and secure, more so than we ever have before.

India's booming growth, in population, commerce, technology and democracy is a model for other countries. They have come a long way since independence and there are many lessons to be learned about how such a large country, with a diverse population, has managed to make such progress.

1> Huge Population.
2> Highly skilled, english speaking work-force that is ready to work on very minimal salaries as compared to the west.
combine these two, and you got urself a big market to sell your products too.
