We have a Home Instead here in Kentucky, I worked for them for a while, was not really impressed. I felt that they did the talk but not the act. I've been a caregiver for over 20 years and I much prefer doing it on an independent basis, it's a little hard to get that first couple of patients but if you are good word travels fast, you will have plenty to choose from. If you need to go with a company I guess HI is as good as any, here they pay minimum plus $1.00 with a bonus if you work nights. No benefits, and no guaranteed hours, may be with one person for 8 hrs today, then someone Else for 6 to marrow, may be day shift one day and nights the next. But there could be a diff in how it is in Ky and Pa.
