am, my Grandma and Great Uncle are flying into America from England in 4 weeks on Sunday, it scares the crap out of me. Do you think they were planning it for September 11th?

I think it is obvious I'm speaking about the terrorist plot! You don't have to be Einstein to figure that one out, try not to be so intellectual, it doesn't work well for you!

First of all, of course it's scary, when you have family travelling. Events like this scare everyone whether they care to admit it or not.
However, increased security and good intelligence caught this one and yeah it's inconvenient not to be able to bring water or toiletries or electronic devices , but then toiletries can be bought at your destination and 30 years ago we didn't use electronic equipment, we actually talked to the people sitting beside us in the plane seats.
This will pass in 72 hours the British Defense minister has said on the cbc this morning.
But even if it doesn't and we have tighter restrictions on us , it beats the alternative don't you think?

It is too early to speculate what, when, how or why any terrorist plans what they plan. Is it frightening, yes it is. I refuse though to live life scared, although I have to admit I am very diligent about my surroundings and make myself aware of what's going on around this topic. I will hold the good thoughts for your family that they have a safe trip.

Worried? Not really. PEOPLE (civilized people, that is) MUST understand that what happened on Sept 11 and what happened in BAli, and in London this morning are only small events. People must realize that unless we treat terrorists and terrosist suspects as animals, we will have terrorist activities like we have never seen in London, U.S.. and in other countries. Until we fight terrorism WITH terrorism, they (the terrorists) will win.

It doesn't scare me as such because I think we are a lot better about finding threats now than we were before..I just hope the price of my plane ticket doesn't go sky high...I am planning on going to England in September...

No, more worried about everybody reacting like this.
I keep remembering the scud attacks on Israel years ago. They were supposed to contain chemical payload (but they had none)so everybody wore gas-masks. The only people that were killed were those that did not know how to use the masks and suffocated in them.

No! I'm not isolated from harm but I have confidence in the intel ( when the press will refrain from interference) Then there are those that are not mindfull of how much these radicals move to destroy us and must be stopped by any method that gets the job done! most of it is not pretty!

Are you refering to the problem of naming a captain for England for the Ashes, or the supposed terrorist plot? Please be specific about your question, generalities just don't cut it.
