My son says that in the movie his last name was Mario also, Luigi also has the last name Mario, since they are brothers.

In a little known movie called Super Mario Bros, based off of the video game, they are introduced as Mario Mario, and Luigi Mario, of the Mario Bros. plumbing service.

I don't think it was ever revealed...but then again, they are the MARIO brothers....Luigi's name isn't Mario, so I'd have to agree with whoever said "Mario Mario". Maybe he just goes by Mario...like how some guys' nicknames are their last name?

Mario Mustache ??? I used to play that with my girls, however I don't recall a last name. We could make up one though. LOL. Maybe he's like Cher, or Madonna. Just Mr. Mario.
