They came pretty close in the Kurdish part of Iraq.
The Turks had to back off because the US is NATO ally and the like.
Perhaps if the Greek American community could persuade Cheney to re-establish the Byzantine Empire in the USA and conquer Turkey in the name of the Ecumenical Patriarch....

Last I checked the US has plenty of fresh water. I don't think the US is interested in invading Turkey for water. You also don't have enough oil or "terrorists".
