No I don't think it's good for the sport. We are already seeing the effects of all this Busch whacking by the Cup drivers. There has already been talk about the lack of seasoned drivers available to move up to the Cup level. The way I see it the owners have no one to blame for this fact but themselves. The major Cup owners have been using the Busch races as an extended practice for the Cups races for years now. They put their experienced Cup drivers in superior equipment and let em make hamburger meat out of the Busch drivers week after week, taking the lions share of points, and prize money. As far as needing Nextel drivers to attract fans I don't buy it,true there might be a small down turn on the weeks when Busch cars don't race at the same tracks as the Cup guys, but I think the effect would be negligible when the two Series race at the same track each weekend. That particular reasoning just sounds like greed to me it's a money thing but come on how much money do you have to have before it's enough. For me this is the one thing in NASCAR that really gets my fanny.I wish NASCAR would make it a rule that if a driver is in the top twenty in Nextel points they can't drive in the Busch races. The one exception to this rule is that it would not apply to Cup rookies, that's just my opinion.

I think that letting the young guys only run in the busch series would be great for the sport. If you look at baseball you have aaa, aa and other minor league teams and they have a fan base of their own. If the play good enough they can move up and that is what I think nascar should do.
I think that nascar should let a cup driver go back to busch for 2 years after they move up to the cup series. After the 2 years I would not allow it any more.
Look at today and you will see that the busch regulars do not have a chance at the championship because you have Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards leading the points.
Back when you had Jr and Matt Kenseth running for the championship that was great because they were busch regulars.

One thing right off the bat would be to limit the number of Busch races a driver can race if they are in the Top 25 of the Cup Series. Put a fairly small number on this so they have to pick and choose which races to run.
The other thing would be to limit how many spots are available each Busch race to the Cup regulars. By doing this, it would open up more spots in the field to the younger, developing drivers.
If something isn't done soon, the driver pool will start dwindling.

Ban Nextel drivers from driving in the series unless they own their own car and are going to run every race in the series. Only allow points and money to go to drivers who are running the busch series full time or to drivers who dont have a ride in Nextel. Really I dont think the car owners are going to stop it nor Nascar. The sponsors may have to step in and threaten pulling money from teams if the Driver they sponsor in Nextel is driving a car sponsored by their competiton in Busch. Can you see it Tony Stewart driving the Lowes car in Busch and Home Depot in Nextel, yeah that would fly.

you have to limit the number of cup drivers in the series. one way to do that might be to limit the number of times they run together. maybe swap the trucks in a few more times. or say legends and some sports cars. nascar owns a sports car series anyway so why not use them. you might also consider giving the top money to the top busch drivers in the race. that way there won't be any reason for the cup drivers to run in the series. maybe award points only to the busch drivers.

the only way they can make it competitive is to put a limit on how many busch races a cup driver can do because look at the busch series top 5 its all cup drivers and thats sad for the series

nicely, it relies upon on the way you classify proper. Me, individually, i might positioned the suited 5 with Mark Martin Dale Jr Martin Truex Jr Kevin Harvick Sam Ard (1983-1984) Jack Ingram (1982, 1985) Larry Pearson (1986-1987) Randy LaJoie (1996-1997) all gained 2 championships and the 4 above the Jr's are the only ones to try this, and beneficial Harvick is stable, yet Martin Truex and Dale Jr did theirs as a concentration on Busch and weren't Buschwhackers for their championships..

I agree that something needs to be done! Maybe take just a few of the "big" guys each race and alternate the guys used every time!

I think it should be like baseball. You don't see major league guys dropping back to practice with a Triple A team unless they are injured.
Work your way up through the ranks.
